How long has MAC been in business?
We distributed our first shipping containers in 1977. In 1979, using the skills we'd gained in the world's most challenging working environments, we began to manufacture secure storage units* offices, COSHH stores - and changing rooms for everyone from sports teams to construction gangs. Our other products - an ever-expanding range of secure buildings, containers, portable toilets, modular buildings, retail/exhibition units - and, from 2009 container-based homes that meet Building Regulations.
*In over 40 years, there has never been a break-in.

Which - if any - MAC Containers can I hire?
Standard 20'x8' SiteGuard™ secure storage containers - either on your site (just £2.50 a day) or at our Essex Headquarters (£5.00 a day on the first floor or £8.00 on the ground floor).
You can also hire a secure 20'x8' Office from as little as £7.50 a day
For obvious reasons, our bespoke containers ARE FOR SALE ONLY
Can I stack MAC Container SiteGuards™ ?
YES! And because they're manufactured to such a high specification, no additional or interim ground support is necessary, even for 40' x 12' units. Our delivery team will be happy to supply and fit HSE steel staircases. Click for container layouts.

Does MAC supply bespoke office units?
Yes indeed. Our offices are internally lined and insulated with lighting and convector heating included in the cost. Air conditioning is an optional extra. You can have partitioning and sanitation to meet your requirements, and also choose from our vast range of over 190 colours . We offer the further free option of either corrugated or smooth sided external walls.
How quickly can you deliver a bespoke container?
Once we have received your initial enquiry with your requirements, we produce a bespoke CAD drawing: following your approval, you can expect delivery within 14-16 weeks.
Your container will be manufactured in accordance with British Standards Codes of Practice BS CP3, BS CP11 and BS 449.
Do you deliver worldwide?
Our main focus is the United Kingdom although we do supply containers to other countries. Nothing is beyond us. We have delivered containers from as far afield as mountain tops in Kosovo, to the Falkland Islands.
What are your delivery costs?
It depends on your location. To minimise your costs, your MAC container will be manufactured in either the north or the south - whichever is closer to your premises.
Do you always deliver your containers?
We provide an extremely efficient delivery service using Hiab self off-loaders to ensure minimal disruption.
But if you prefer to arrange your own delivery - that's fine too. We'll even offer a free lift onto your vehicle.
If I ask you to move one of the containers on my site, how much will it cost?
Our charge will be the same as for delivery.
I'm moving house shortly and need to put my possessions into storage. Do you provide self-storage facilities?
Yes - at our Weald Hall Farm headquarters. You can fit the entire contents of a 4-bedroom house into one of our 20' x 8' storage units - hard to visualise but true.
All for just £5.00 per day on the first floor and £7.00 per day on the ground floor, with 24/7 on-site security and free access to your unit during office hours. At a small additional cost, you can have 24/7 access.

Would a MAC Container SiteGuard™ make a good classroom?
MAC Container SiteGuard™ is an excellent teaching facility as it is fully insulated and equipped to the highest standards. The heating system keeps the students warm in winter, and the air-conditioning keeps them cool in summer.
The unit can be fitted to meet your requirements and will provide an ideal learning environment. It will also be vandal-proof and totally secure.
Is Planning Permission needed to use a MAC Container SiteGuard™ as a temporary home?
You should check with your Local Authority as the regulations vary. Very often, Planning Permission won't be needed.
Could I use a MAC container SiteGuard™ as a secure garage for my classic car?
Yes, most definitely as our containers are thief proof, fire proof and condensation proof. They are ideal storage units for all your most prized possessions.
